There is nothing so uncommon as common sense.

I used this regularly at work, usually when sending an engineer back to the drawing board to add more detail to the assembly plans. They always claimed the worker would understand what was implied. I always pointed out the last time production screwed up a ton of product because there wasn’t enough detail in the instructions.

and the results of those screw ups may be sitting in your parking space.
