True, but I'm afraid that I'm the kind of person who thinks that culture is something grown in a Petri dish! :blush:

I should read more books. Most of what I read these days is of a technical or business nature and glowing at me from a computer screen.

I had a copy of Star of the Sea offered to me today and that sounds worth reading. I'll see how I get on with that. I loved reading until I was 18 when beer somehow took its place!

Great post Colin. I don't have the time to organise forum rides but love your's....just seem to always be busy when they are on.

As to not many females, there isn't loads of us about and I am very wary these days of meeting people from the internet so only likely to go if I already know people or bring someone else with (not that easy as anyone I know who likes long hilly rides tends to also be equally busy).
