They're quite reliable. Make sure you order your Sky via the Quidco link.

I use topcashback. Unlike quidco they are free, and having received over £500 ime generally reliable.

The most common reason for not tracking is if one tries to go through one of these after finding and saving a deal through a comparison website. Not always but many comparison websites operate a covert or overt "kickback" which can cause a clash as a result of double-dipping part or all of the commission (essentially I believe that is what these sites are giving you), especially if you find that you can't recreate the same deal from scratch after going through a cashback site.

I also prefer topcashback. Tracking or payment queries seem to get dealt with more promptly too. Although I've only had 2 in about 4 years.
Haven't touched quidco for years now.

Nope. Once you order your Sky package and it's up and a running, they have a tracking mechanism and will automatically pay you about a month after your first bill

Everything should be automatic, but it's not uncommon for transactions to fail to track. If that happens you need to file a manual claim, so it's worth keeping a note of all relevant info (precise time of order, order number, etc.).

I've been with TopCashBack for years without any problems. Last month I joined British Cycling through TCB and got £10 cashback, which means it's cost me just £14 for 12 months membership including the liability insurance.

I'd recommend them fully. Topcashback is also decent as well. Basically the click through should track and you'll get the cash sometime later. Keeping a record helps; ohnovino's info's useful there.

The simple answer, according to quidco's stats (it is on the left hand side of their Argos page) is about 6 hours after your order. The thing to note though is the 1.5% cashback from Argos is unavailable for reserve and collect transactions.

Used Quidco for a couple of years mainly for larger transactions like insurance etc. As mentioned above, if you get a list of insurers via a comparison website and then see a decent cahback deal you need to delete your cookies or easier still use another pc to make the transactions through Quidco.

I've been cashback sites for years - Started with Quidco, more recently moved to Topcashback to avoid the fees and get better rates. I've earned over £4000 over the last 5 years. Not heard of this before so looked at Marks link to the explanation.

So you find something you want on line but don't buy it there and go and buy it via another company. First company loses out as they are spending money on internet marketing with no sale from it and second company gains as a sale drops in their lap so they split the commission with the punter.

This is a bit like going down the LBS, trying out the bikes choosing one and then buying it on Wiggle as Wiggle is £5 less.

Surely also the cashback firm is busy selling your details to make some more from the deal?
