While it's true that the ads one sees reflect one's browsing history somehow  I agree we should not see porn ads on here.
I will make the forum's owner aware.
Sorry about that.

If we're going to boycott products because of their company's history then we start with IBM. Their punch card system was used to coordinate the Holocaust.

And what horrors have they done in the last ten years?

But I know people who still won't buy Hugo Boss. It's a choice. I don't criticise them for saying why. It's better than leaving people in the dark about the drawbacks.

Good morning,

Most advertising providers allow site owners to opt out of adult adverts and I have not seen any adult adverts here before,

I get Rachel Riley and Charlotte Church versions of the advert mentioned and I suspect that the advert providers would class these as adult content if they realised that they were providing them.

The trouble may be that they are not explicit enough for the advert provider to have noticed, so it may be worth contacting the advert providers directly if you disapprove.

Can the mods provide a link?

Clearly the advert provider may take the view that these are not adult adverts, they’re not much worse than the Temu ones, in which case the site owner is pretty much out of options.

Whilst I can see that these adverts don’t necessarily fit well with site I don’t see them as misogynist merely “Lad’s Mag”.

Add this to the cycling after a few pints thread which brought out some quite surprising shows of intolerance and virtue signalling should we worry about this place becoming a den of old fogeys?

Recently I worked with a young lady who has two degrees, runs a blog about strong women and posts pictures of herself in a swimsuit on Instagram.

Bye

To explain where I'm coming from, from my perspective, a constant deluge of "lads mag" content is in itself misogynistic, normalising the harassment and objectification of women. I'm not saying it's extreme porn or anything like that.

It used to be very easy to pay the annual sum to help the site and avoid the ads; I got a reminder each year and the payment via PayPal was simple To do. My last payment to the site involved much more hassle as there was no notification that the payment was due, and being hopeless with computers and using PayPal it took me ages to do.
Any chance the old system could be re started?
