Convert Nexus twist shifter to Trigger ?

Hi all.
I'm looking for advice on whether it's possible to change my twist shifter ( Shimano Nexus 7 hub gears) to a trigger ?
Is it possible ? And if so, is it a relatively easy job ? Are there any problems I should be aware of ?
I've looked on YouTube, but haven't found one that tackles hub gears.
I'm hoping someone on here has already done it and can give me some pointers.

I don't think that will work. Looking at the cable pull crib sheet here, on Sheldon Brown's website, I think the deal is the 7 speed hub gear has different cable pulls at different positions, while trigger type shifters tend to be uniform pulls at each position.

Nexus has a different pull ratio to derailleur gears so you'd need a compatible trigger shift. There's a shimano or microshift trigger that should work. I can't find any in the UK but here's a coupla links

I put the microshift one on my bike when I converted it from three speed to seven speed. Works a treat.
