Converting a 90's MTB into a retro drop bar bike

That's interesting I have an continental steel touring bike frame you might recognise it! It's super heavy!!

It's no lightweight to be sure, but neither is the last bike I rebuilt and it works fine. This bike will not only be a tourer but probably a commuter for Elder Son, and will also be used to respond to fire department call outs. It needs to be solid and reliable whenever it's needed so I compromise by sacrificing weight for solidity and longevity.

Besides, by the time I've added a hub dynamo, luggage rack, luggage and rider, the 'heavy' frame will be the least of the problems.

Just got an email from Stephen at H Lloyd Cycles; the pdf's of the decal designs I sent him will work. As I sent them rather more in hope than expectation, I'm pretty pleased, so I'll change them to the format he needs and send them off...

After a recommendation from @chriswoody, I finally got some colour:

I'm still not entirely convinced but I'll test it before making a final decision; it may need more blue.
