Digressing;
- Reed wrote 'US Male' & 'Guitar Man', both of which were covered by a certain Mr Presley (he also played guitar on US Male)
- Plus, he also wrote 'A Thing Called Love', as ably sang by Johnny Cash
- He was also feted by, no less a guitar luminary than, Chet Atkins who confessed that Reeds finger-picking style amazed him

He also played on Guitar Man because they couldn't get anyone who get it just right. They also forgot to get him to sign away his rights before he recorded and he wouldn't budge afterwards, a tactical error but it paid off for Jerry.

As you were folks...

I had a blue Datsun 100a, was my first car. My dad picked it up from deptford auction for £60 and we spent a summer doing it up. A great car, I sold it and made £500, which was more money than I had ever held in my hand....sniff
I ended up with a black one, brush painted, that a mate gave me in lieu of the £20 he owed me from buying it at auction. Got 2 months out of it and scrapped it for £20 after the clutch went. Loads of good memories, kept it running with bungee straps and hope!

Spotted at a Cyclo-Cross a few years ago, it had a bike rack on the rear

I doubt, unless you know where this garage is, that you'll have seen this many Sierras together, since they were in the main dealers showrooms

I know this was quite a while ago, as I sold my 110 (from where the picture was taken) in 2010

I remember a school-friend having one of these, & my being so jealous

There's quite a cycling link to this particular model, if memory serves correctly

As a small boy watching Castleford RL games in winter, I used to envy the drivers of these cars who were allowed to park at the side of the touchline. I assumed they were warm and dry inside while we were out in the freezing rain.Looking at it now I can't imagine they have heaters in em.

Sorry folks, short digression-time

Glasshoughton Richard, Las Vegas of the north.......apparently.
I pass through there regularly, as it's part of a couple of my routes;
Up Holywell Lane, towards FerryBridge, then either up the 'Tadcaster Turnpike', or via Byram, towards Birkin/Gateforth, etc.....

Plus;
I ParkRun at Pontefract RaceCourse
I'm in Featherstone Road Club (sponsored by Gary, down at Kendell Cycles)
