The Merc in particular is a stunner - the ultimate plutocratmobile. Unless I'm mistaken, that dashboard section is carved from a single piece of walnut. Needless to say, it looks immeasurably better in the flesh.

No
That was a '78 model (Pontiac) Trans-Am in the first film

I think the Citroen that he drove was in either 'Mean Machine', or 'Gator'

I know it's not an exciting car, but when did you last see one of these
It sometimes appears at a Health Centre not too far from where we live
It's not a Belmont, as the (earlier model) bonneted Astras were known

In Smokey and the Bandit he drove the Pontiac Trans Am :thumbsup:

Ahh, but he also drove the Kenworth W900

This beauty, that Jerry Reed (as Snowman) drove

Reed contributed several songs to the film, including the opening one

Digressing;
- Reed wrote 'US Male' & 'Guitar Man', both of which were covered by a certain Mr Presley (he also played guitar on US Male)
- Plus, he also wrote 'A Thing Called Love', as ably sang by Johnny Cash
- He was also feted by, no less a guitar luminary than, Chet Atkins who confessed that Reeds finger-picking style amazed him

I had a blue Datsun 100a, was my first car. My dad picked it up from deptford auction for £60 and we spent a summer doing it up. A great car, I sold it and made £500, which was more money than I had ever held in my hand....sniff
