MP4-12?
I wasin town locking the bike up at the start of a pedestrianised section watching a bloke turning one round in a dead end between rows of cars. I don't think rear vision is too clever as it took him ages.
My Grandad had one of the invalid cars, a real rarity though as it had a steering wheel not the tiller arrangement.
Lancia Montecarlo - Lancia solved the problem of front brakes locking up very easily by simply removing the brake servo. I do have a thing for old Italian cars. Would be nice to have an Alfa Montreal sitting in the garage.
Mk 1 Facelift, isn't it?
Sounds familiar, have they had to build the speed ramps up for the SUV's so much now the exotica can barely crawl over them? Child saw a top end Ferarri scrape its way over all 5 coming in, then all 5 going out again. Top car park doesn't have them, but no one sees you if you park there. At my daughters School, there's generally a collection like that
That's a very sad story.Mk 1 Facelift, isn't it?
I had one in Le Mans green with a black vinyl roof. Had to go when I got married and mortgaged.
A sad day indeed, I loved that car. That's a very sad story.
You could have a like for the car, but I'd have to take it back for selling it.
A bit more time now to add. This is the Messerschmidt used by Fred the Weatherman on Granada TV (who is now in chokey for sex abuse). I was passing as the owner was fettling it a bit and chatted to him. He let me sit in it, two seats, one behind the other, with a raising mechanism which lowered you into the cockpit. The steering is a pair of handlebars, two stroke engine, with either an electric motor, or the two stroke could be run in reverse, I forget which. It felt great, although I did feel I had to say "achtung Spitfire" whilst looking nervously around. Dates from 1959.
It now lives in Atherton - Greater Manchester.I've checked the registration
At the time of publication, the (then?) owner lived in Alfreton, Derbyshire
It is (was?) 'Magnum' engine
