I would say yes
Bought a vax one from argos and seems to clean well enough , smaller head so it takes a bit longer but the lightness means it is less work pushing it and a lot easier to do + carry upstairs

How does the on/off switch work, is it like a normal click on and off, or is it a grip/trigger arrangement? The reason I ask is that MrsP has a bit of arthritis in her hands and has trouble gripping trigger type arrangements. Not that MrsP does all the hoovering, I do must of it.

It has a trigger with a lever you can flick on so it stays on

I live in a three story house and find it a real pain dragging the Henry Hoover around to clean. It's great at doing the job but because of its awkwardness it barely gets used. In fact ,the last time I dragged it out of the cupboard his eyes were closed (he must of gone into hibernation;=).
I do though have a Shark rechargeable sweeper and I'm always surprised by how well it works. This week gone I've been tempted twice into buying a cordless vacuum cleaner. Lidl have got one in stock at the moment for around £75. It's a Morphy Richards and looks similar to the Dyson wand type. The other that I've spotted was in our local Original Factory outlet shop. It's a Hoover sprint cordless and looks very nice indeed ( as far as Hoover's go) and boasts a run time of up to 50 minutes. I thing its around 90 odd pounds. Im tempted, but I don't want to chance buying it, if it's a load of rubbish.

I bought the Vax plus the tools, I'm very pleased with it.

Hi again,
Today I took the plunge and bought the Hoover Sprint upright cordless vac from "The Original factory outlet" shop.
I've been divering around for a few weeks now whether to buy one or not because of the cost.
As it happens though I only popped into the shop to buy some odds and ends, and got talking to the cashier about the Hoover.
It was a little strange because she said if buy one now I'll knock 25% off. It was selling for £99 which is very cheap away but for 74 odd pounds I couldn't resist lol..I asked if there was a sale on today and she said no ,but its at my discretion if I want to offer a discount to a customer. That's all I can say is ,it must be my incredible good looks and charm that wooed the shop assistant (well I've got to say it because nobody else will lol :-).
A very strange way to operate a shop business but non the less very pleased.
The Cordless vac seems very well made and seems to do the job really well. It's quiet and picked up a lot of stuff too.
Highly recommended :-) :-)
