According to Mrs D, social media is abuzz with images of people who've tried DIY haircuts while they've been stuck inside. Now, I've had mine down to the bone since my late teens so I'm well practiced at the art of self hair cutting, but it seems some others aren't quite so adept.

So show us you DIY hair cut fails.

My 11 yr old has volunteered to have a go at my hair.
Pros: She's quite arty.
Cons: I've never asked my barber for an "arty cut".

It's going to happen in our house soon. Luckily I've got a beard trimmer with numbers 1 - 6 depth gauge thingy so I'll ask Mrs Gti to give me a no.6 all over. Nothing to lose anyway as my head is mostly bald!

I would have to self cut and no way am I trying that. Just let it get into a ponytail tho I think those with thinning hair look grotesque with ponytail. Rock and hard place.

I've got quite long hair,

To cut it, I just turn my head upside down brush my hair out, and then give it a trim across the ends.

Plus a bit of a face framing almost - fringe.

Turned up the right way again, it gives a reasonably layered look,

Which I mostly wear clipped up out the way anyhow.

I last visited the hairdresser, and paid for a cut - just after the birth of my second son.

He is now 22.

I wonder how much money (and time)
I have saved over the years.
