Could barely see

It's been foggy nearly all day today.

There I was in work hoping it would clear by 9pm but no such luck.

Riding home I could barely see a thing, my glasses needed a wipe every minute or so and yet I managed the 10 miles in 40 minutes. That's 5 minutes quicker than the previous journey which was done in clear weather, work that out.

Seriously bad fogs here about 8pm. Amusingly I had a good ride, first time it felt decent on that bike in 2010.

The fog was actually a mist of steroids, it gave you added strength.

I had a ride home yesterday in heavy drizzle (couldn't call it rain) necessitating glasses wiping every few minutes.
Didn't want to take them off as the cold air at this time of year makes me eyes water and me have to blink a lot!

On my ride y/day I could barely see on a couple of roads because of the sun shining of the road as they were a bit wet. It was very bright. I was a bit worried that if someone behind wasn't paying attention they might miss me

Went for a ride yesterday, and ended up on a fairly quiet B road with several dips and bends. Visibility was poor due to fog so I was already aware of increased danger, but I had a car overtake with another one just behind (I did have my arm held out in the hopes that he would abort) - just as another car was coming towards him. He ducked back in alongside me and I had to mount the verge, regained control and got back onto the road. I had several cars do this, including 2 left hooks. Only 1 car driver out of about 10 actually slowed down behind me and acknowledged my "dont overtake" indication, the rest were just driving too fast and too close to each other for the conditions.

Fell lucky with the fog yesterday and today.... missed us (fog further north and south though). Just slightly misty in the hills today.

The pea soup stuff on unlit roads is somewhat 'interesting'.....
