I wouldn't give him that plastic chicken stuff, as I've heard it's full of salt and flavouring to try and disguise the plastic affect as you eat it. The chicken I give him is again Tesco Finest.

Only trouble is, if you're feeding a complete dog food, that will cover your dog's sodium needs. So by topping up with even "finest" chicken, you'll be giving him far more than is healthy.
Your best bet is to treat him to chicken you've cooked yourself *without* any seasoning (simple poaching will work) or things like carrots and sweet potatoes and green beans. My friend's schnauzers LOVE carrots.
Most of that is the seasoned coating on the outside of the chicken. The stabilizers give it shelf life, and I suspect the pea starch is the "glue" used to stick pieces of chicken together.
Tesco are one of the worst for turning decent food into plastic food in there never ending search to buy stuff for the cheapest possible price. They try to bully suppliers / manufacturers into making stuff cheaper. I've seen major manufacturers delisted and taken off the shelf in an attempt bully them, only for them to come back with there tail between there legs. PS I worked for 2 manufacturers that they tried to bully.
