Crack?

Hi I've noticed what seems to be a crack or paint chip on my bike, I'm not sure what it is and if I should be worried, so I'm asking for advice.

I've uploaded some pictures, it seems to be fairly long.

Can't see it. You need to use the close up setting on your camera or set the focus manually.

If you don't see the full image it's still see-able, I'll see if I can get some better photos though.

my guess would be a crack in the paintwork because of the chain falling onto it.
If in doubt LBS check it and consider frame warrenty

All I can see is the shape of the clear plastic film that stops the paintwork getting damaged by the chain.

+1. All I can see is a chain stay protector (photographed upside down), a transparent one like these.

That may be it

As you can see I'm an idiot with bikes and know nothing, didn't realise you could get transparent chain stay protectors.

phew - thank God for that, because if that'd been a crack you would've been in big trouble.......
