Crank options

Hello,

Just registered to ask for help. I thought this would be easy lol.

Completely original Raleigh Pursuit, does what i ask and cost nowt. ALL bearings shot so replacing.
LBS supplies cartridge BB and I have fitted. 68mm BB, 128 Axle. The original cranks/axles are tapered so original cranks don't fit new Sq Taper 12.6mm axle.

Is the only option to replace Cranks? If so Id like as close to original as possible cosmetically and for lowest cost. Best place to buy in UK please?

Also going to replace head cups and cage bearings. Best tool/recommended (value 4 money) to press off/on?

The original cranks/axles are tapered so original cranks don't fit new Sq Taper 12.6mm axle.

A little confused by the above. If the old cranks are tapered and the new BB is a square taper, how do they not fit?

There are two types of square taper BB... ISO & J.I.S
If you mean the cranks don't go on as far as the old ones then you have a different standard of BB!
