I'm chronically ill, so no. Are TTs allowed to break the law?Read my post above. Have you ever ridden a TT ???
That's as maybe, but it's still an offence. The Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989 covers it. It's the same argument as using a BMX built for off road use ie only one working brake, on the road. Most lights used in the UK on bikes aren't to BS standards. It's used in daylight, not night on only TT bikes.
Yes, but the restriction on flashing green lights to doctors is not limited to nighttime. This is quite a lot Dodgier than merely non standard. Most lights used in the UK on bikes aren't to BS standards. It's used in daylight, not night on only TT bikes.
This. Safety takes priority over a hodge podge of unenforced and largely incoherent laws in my book.I'm sure the owner would rather have a lights that get noticed even if they are illegal, than be hit![]()
So you think TTers are cycling's chav cars?So what abut all the chav cars that have blue side lights.
Before I give up too, I would like to add that several of the TT community that we know of are in the police and I can assure you that the overriding concern for the organiser is that every rider gets back safely. Why am I not surprised that your lights are legal, I bet you have pedal reflectors too.I give up. Groan.
