The new OM thing has come, and I'm too tired to do anything other than try out the macro on my late neighbour's flowers. I'm probably going to start off just by trying out various auto settings and seeing what comes out.

That was quick delivery. Off to a good start and it sure focuses nice and close. I’ve been in Club Knackered today too. Take it easy.

Was offered a free month of Amazon Prime buying some new cycling shorts, so reaping the benefit. Needed signing for, and I was likely to be out, so got it dropped at the local Co-op, which was super easy.

Not sure if this one is rude. New camera on microscope mode, not quite getting the DoF right for the tippy top of the stamens.

Looks good!
Focus stacking (if you want to go down that route) would leave everything in focus. Still weather and a tripod would be needed, but your camera can do it 'in camera' which saves manually processing the individual images.

Thanks, yes, have seen that option on the menu. The more I play with the thing, the more I'll work out what it can do... hopefully I can get focus stacking set up under one of the two 'programmable' settings, so I can just twizzle the dial round and hey presto.

Tried the basic HDR today, and it seemed OK for more challenging light (as per below - nothing burnt out). I'm going to take a while to work out how the autofocus behaves in various contexts.
