I think Stokes bluffed them a little bit as well, I am sure they were expecting a declaration. Karma for the outrageous time wasting.
Brilliant from Root and Archer showed how dangerous a hitter at 11 can be. 250ish and we were toast, over 300 now puts a different spin on it (pun intended).
I don't see why they can't just be forced to bowl out their overs when playing under lights, it's not like they have to worry about it getting dark.
As in other sports, there should be some kind of on field penalty (not the post match fines) to really discourage it. Yellow card meaning one bowler gets taken out of the attack for 20 overs, red card and they are removed for the innings? Extra runs handed to the batting team? Will never happen but I suspect something like that would hurry teams along!

If fans are seeing 9-to-20 wickets in a day, does it really matter? (If AUS gained some advantage today, then maybe yes ...)
Have to say, I know I got a good deal on TNT for the cycling and having The Ashes is a bonus but I'm impressed with their coverage. Really enjoying the biomechanical graphics and decent commentary / pundits.
Get another streaky 25 runs tomorrow and we are 350 all out. Which isn’t too bad.I think Stokes bluffed them a little bit as well, I am sure they were expecting a declaration. Karma for the outrageous time wasting.

Yep, I think that is a decent total at the Gabba. I think I heard on TMS that average 1st innings for a day/nighter there was around 320ish.
