Don't really know if we can infer so much regarding the Tour from this. In the years Vingegaard won the Tour, Pogacar looked dominant in the one week races as well, if I remember correctly.
It's the brutal high kJ days with multiple mountains at high altitude and heat that make him have that one bad day Jonas capitalises on.

Pog extended his lead beyond 30secs near the top, then dialled back his effort near the finish.

Vine, looked cooked as he rolled over the finish

Everyone else was literally blown away.

Tomorrow, I expect UAE will just follow the nearest contenders to the finish

I can't see anyone beating Pogacar at the TdF barring injury or illness

I wouldnt go that far, but Pog didnt seem on the limit today. JV did. Pog’s tactic to dispense with the VLAB train is to go early it seems. Though come the tour I am guessing he will have Almeida & Yates too.

I think he’ll have learned to pay attention to Vingegard and ignore the others. Time gaps permitting.

If he wants to be sportsman like he'll let Bardet win today, his last stage, but the Frenchman might have expended everything yesterday

On that note, I thought it was a cruel irony that having announced this was to be his last race already last year, they gave him a stage start in his hometown, but the stage was a TT
