Well done - hopefully I would have the courage to do something like that!

If he's still feeling aggrieved you could invite him to go three rounds in the square with you so he has a chance to get his own back

Well done. Will be interesting to see if he takes a complaint any further.

Explaining himself will make good listening.

I jump back into the car, lock the doors and notice that his passport and travel wallet were on the floor. No problem, opened the sunroof and threw the wallet out. Then drove off.

You only threw the wallet out

People that make homophobic jokes are usually closet homosexuals themselves or are unsure of their sexuality.

Or maybe they just have a sense of humour? A funny joke is a funny joke, and often the funniest are the most controversial.

Lee clearly touched a nerve with someone... 'funny' man, are you? Well, I guess we'll have to wait a few more than 25 posts to find out. We'll be expecting big things now, mind...

Actually, thinking about it, you messed up.

Should have delivered him to the airport, and let him enjoy all of those nice "friendly" cabin attendants...

That is pretty funny, I'd loved to have seen that! :0) It's weird though, like two different worlds.

On the one hand I think he was asking for it but at the same time it's a shame that it was allowed to fester to the level it did. Seems to me that the bigger and more bureaucratic the organisation the less tolerant people are. Just last week some teacher or other, guy with decades of good service and experience, was sacked because of one little remark, which quite frankly wasn't very bad. The PC brigade have a hair-trigger that fires them straight to thirty-thousand feet at the slightest touch.

By contrast I work in a small factory where banter and jibes are commonplace, daily, constant. Many of the comments made would be sacking offences in PC patroled organisations but not here. People take a joke, give as good as they get and get on with it. I don't think it does any harm, in fact I think it strengthens relationships. There is a level of trust required before you can really insult someone! ;0)

So you're a big blouse, but it is darn funny! :0)
