Took the bike bike to the shop today and will hopefully have some news soon

Heres a picture of the hanger beside a one pound coin its extremely thin

Apologies for the bump on an old thread but I've had exactly the same issue with the same bike.
Just wondering if/how this was resolved?

The OP is the only one who'll know and they were on here for a week in 2015 and not seen here since. Sorry.
Rear dropouts should not fail like this (damage to frame as well as broken chainstay/seatstay join - see images). The hanger is designed to fail and spare damage to the frame.

Thanks for your response, I'm hoping the warranty will cover this as it looks to be a design floor with how the hanger attaches... fingers crossed

The fact that you've found photos of an identical failure on the same frame would suggest to me that this issue will be known to the manufacturer and they should help you out. I would print out this thread or send them a link when talking to the shop, I'd like to think they will replace it.
