Popped into a LBS after work this evening to view my potential next bike, the Cube Peleton Race.

I have to say it looked lovely in its black, red and white glossy livery. It looks the part. I also saw last years model, obviously cheaper but sporting a 105 10 speed group set.
One thing they have changed is to go from Easton bars to Cube bars. TBH I preferred the look of the older model Easton bars with their flat spot on the tops. The new model has conventional round tops which felt a little small.
I asked about the possibility of changing bars for the Easton on the new bike. No problem.

Question is, are the round top bars to be considered an improvement in kit or are the flat topped Eastons a better option?

No difference. Just fashion.

Just make sure they fit the correct width. Don't assume the stock bars are the right size for you regardless of brand. The wrong size bars can be uncomfortable at best and damaging at worst
