Custom Avatars

OK, I see how to put in an avatar, but how do I pick my own one? Any pictures I try to use are too big. How do I shrink a picture down to a usable size?
And the wee moving ones, how do I get one of them?

I think Shaun has set it up now so that this place does it automatically. Go into the select avatar bit and you can browse your pooter for an image and I think the rest is done by magic.

I use Easy Thumbnails for resizing images. Free and can do batches. useful for quickly producing emailable size images from a digital camera download.
