Yes. I know of someone who had himself dissected/measured by a specialist at condor and a bike built to fit him exactly. He was told that his current bike was just totally wrong, he couldn't get on with it, sold it and went back to his old supposed torture device.
Not a criticism of the nice and attentive mr hewitt but my hewitt (not custom built from tubes but custom sized) never felt right. Maybe i'm odd but i had different ideas about how i (i stress me personally, not trying to create an absolute rule) should sit on a bike. Took it back a year later, he flipped the stem and it now feels fine/fits my possibly dodgy head/body.
