I am your Father
Hello good people of CC Towers.

At the risk of being the class clown I call upon you lads for help.

I have just the other day received my order of Castelli winter bib tights & summer bib shorts.

Having never worn bib tights before
my questions are these.

Are the leg parts of the tights supposed to come down all the way to the top of the foot, bottom of the ankle as your jeans or trousers would ?

Mine seem to stop just above the ankle, is this right ?

I did check Castelli's size chart before ordering & they seem to be correct for me at 33 1/4" leg size XL.

Are your socks supposed to take up the gap that is left & if so do you wear them over or under your tights ?

Lastly, my bib shorts, also Castelli & also size XL.

Is your waggle stick supposed to protrude over/beyond the pad or is this designed to cover only your ass & tatties ?

To me it feels a little weird.

I need to work out if these are right for me quite quickly so I can return them if needed.

Obviously I can't return them if worn on a ride & as I am injured I can't test them anyway just yet.

Thanks folks.

Laugh away.

I have a pairs of longs that fit below and above the ankle.
Socks over or under, your choice.

As to the pad, as long as it covers the saddle and where your arse hits the saddle it's fine.

Normally full length ones have stirrups or similar to go under your foot. If they don't it may be that these are 3/4 length ones - "knickers" is (genuinely) the technical term so they're plus-fours length as it were and hence shorter that you're expecting.

As to your other question - well the pad is to protect your arse, not your dick so you can stick the latter wherever it's comfy (so to speak)

Not so.
My DHB, Lusso, Altura and Shutt longs don't have stirrups.
Though do have ankle zips.
