Got beeped at by a car on the commute home today at this exact place. I was on the road in the opposite direction avoiding the path as I am just sick of having to swerve around everything. There was also a council van parked in the lane too which could have caught my panniers.
Sometimes I wish that these people who beep and point to the left would actually pull over for me to explain to them why I am not using the lane. In their mind I am just an ignorant cyclist who doesnt use facilities provided to cause a problem on the roads. Such a shame.
