Cycle route - Herts to the Cotswolds

Richard, should I be able to drag the suggested route, to the one that I actually want to take? So as an example, drag the route from NCR57 to head to New Yatt and the Windrush valley as you suggest? I'm attempting to do this on an iPad with no luck. Should I revert back to the PC?

On an Android tablet, I can't drag the route so I click the route, pick 'add via point' from the pop-up and drag that instead.

Yep, that's the case. Deliberately so - I found that standard route-dragging made it way too easy to accidentally foul up the route on a touch-screen!
