It is possible to be both. Being a cyclist does not automatically put a person in some sort of saintly category. As has been said before, there are good and bad people out there, and they use all forms of transport.

And yet they still struggle with the idea that people are neither wholly right or wholly wrong.

People are complex, no label or judgement can describe a one of them. So why continue to force simplicity into our world views?

It could be contested that Internet forums are largely populated with folk who insist on having the last word.

I'm glad you see this conversation heading for oblivion too

That's enough, you two.
It's a beautiful day, so go for a bike ride, both of you, and remember to take some spanners.

Last word?

Been there done that. It's about to appear in your ride today thread. My bike is spanner free so I leave them at home.

Another couple of points, I didn't contest the court judgement, I contested the newspaper article.

It could be argued that Internet forums are largely populated with sufferers of histrionic personality disorder.

Keep your hair on.
Too late.

sure, and you could work that out without the newspaper using the word. It's like they are afraid you won't toe the line with exactly how they think you should feel about the story.

Does the editorial style influence the readership or does the readership influence the editorial style - discuss.

Is there not one that goes on the saddle?

You got me on a technicality

I wouldn't consider a Brooks saddle tension adjustment spanner to be an essential part of a cyclist's on the road toolkit so for all intents and purposes within the context of the 'pack your spanners and ride argument', my bike is spanner free.
