A common Train and Brompton journey for me in the past was Southern to Victoria, ride to Paddington, 1st GW, then ride to office. Reverse later.
On Southern trains the bike can sit by the door, in sight, reasonably close. On 1st GW it will normally have to go in the luggage rack which can be out of sight behind you.
That aside, I don't know whether you are aware of this at all but you do manage to come over as a rude idiot who assumes all sorts of bollocks if it isn't all spoon fed to you.
