Cycle things I would buy now to last the rest of my cycling life

There a small number of things I feel I ought to stock up on "just in case" so I have them available for the rest of my life

#1 Mine would be another Brooks team pro (blingtastic ti obviously) ready for my retirement bespoke bike just in case they stop making them or only do stupid limited editions at even greater expense or whatever.

#2 A triple chainset - looks like another wise purchase ahead of time as I'm not sure I'll still be able to get one with suitably low gears for me next bike.

#3 - to be honest, for anything else I reckon I can just get whatevee is current at the time

It is a closely guarded secret only Sir Chris and I know about.

In truth a turbo and the best I have ever used.

Comfy saddles: had 4 (one went with the stolen bike) still got 4 because my new bike came with a similar one.
5/6/7/8 speed chains: got a dozen at the moment, were on special offer
Ice tyres: got 2 sets, they will last me forever!

Good choice - Spa Cycle's "Sugino" may be your best friend.

Good choice.

8 and 9 speed cassettes for me.

Then let them bully/soft soap me upwards.

Shifters are no great problem and I have some laid up.
