Brilliant! I've been trying to remember the name of this for ages ( there was this thing about a cartoon detective, some kind of bird maybe ... ? )
It was quite original for its time, with some genuinely funny bits.

I used to love on and Stimpy. I watched a sketch the other week and thought...jeez, how did they get away with that ?
Family Guy, great stuff.
South Park, great.
The Simpsons, really good but they changed the look at one stage...hated it. Characters looked different, voices were different etc etc.
Dangermouse, the original series...utterly brilliant.

I can remember that Woody the Woodpecker was the first cartoon series that I used to watch, next was the Huckleberry Hound Show followed by Quickdraw McGraw. The Flintstones would be put on in the evenings in our area and we would quit playing and run home to watch them .
I used to watch Rug Rats with my children and thought they were a laugh .
