Some years ago, a supercell thunderstorm passed over me, (I had pulled off the road and parked next to a roadhouse when I saw the wall cloud) dropping torrential rain, hail up to an inch in diameter and covering the non-flooded ground to a depth of about an inch or so. Here you see some flash-flooded fields, covered in water to a depth of about six inches, with a layer of hail floating on top, which is condensing into fog, because it's ice water in 90 f heat. All of this was draining, and moving, as well.
