Cant think of one TBH. but I would like to know.
I know you can ride Thelwall to Dunham Massey》》 Altrincham by road if thats any use.
The Trans Penine goes thro Thelwall and you can get off at D Massey.....it then takes you to Carrington and (i think) Sale.

Anyone ride/ridden this recently what's this like? is it road bike suitable?

Thanks

It's a wide-ish off-road path most of the way and is usually a little muddy in some places, but not too bad. And flat all the way.

Wouldn't do it on a road bike myself. Although, er, I have done.

It's a bit rough and a bit mucky with plenty of silly gate things with poor sight lines on the road crossings, I've ridden it a few times on 23's but generally use the roads unless on the MTB. Mind you since they top dressed the road past Dunham Massey without filling in the holes, that isn't much better.

Couple of hundred yards past the disused railway viaduct, on the right if you're cycling towards Thelwall down Thelwall New Road.
