Does anyone have experience of the national cycle routes to the west of Lincoln? According to maps, there is a route out of the city centre along a canal, then taking the route of an old railway line, then left through villages Harby, Eagle etc. Is this route suitable for a road bike? I aim to cycle from Lincoln into Nottinghamshire and back as part of a 5 counties challenge (for Sport Relief). I basically want a route from Lincolnshire to the Nottinghamshire border.
