Is it purely the looks that you are asking about ?

FWIW - I have to wear prescription specs when cycling - for ages I tried the budget options - but in the end I dropped almost £300 on a pair of Rudy projects - probably one of my best cycling purchases had them a good few years now. Been great.

Do you then just replace the lenses as your (if) prescription changes or the whole frame as well?

I am also in the market for sunglasses but have been told that due to my prescription, I can't get glasses that have very round frames such as those from Oakley.

Hi - not sure where I would be replacements should my prescription alter.

I have quite a hefty prescription - I went to extreme eyewear who agree to glaze the specs when everyone else wouldn't. My prescription is around -6

I have optilabs prescription glasses and they replaced the lenses for me last year. Frames now 9 years old

I can’t compete with @kingrollo‘s prescription! As a general rule, I’ve found that the stronger/stranger your prescription that more limited the choice of frames that will accommodate the required lens.

I have managed to get replacement lens for existing frames but these have been for larger brands (Oakley, Bollé) and I’ve had to go through my optician, so costly.

Speak to the specialist reglazers, they will sort that for significantly less. I've used Reglaze My Spex a couple of times, and others in the past.

£20 spent at a good military surplus store will get you new current issue glasses that are robust, have interchangeable lenses, a neck strap without spending a fortune on a branded 'cycling specific' leery colour glasses.

I bought some of these in 2017.

Just replaced them with the same again, as the lenses were getting a bit worn. Insert was glazed to my subscription.

I got those in 2019 and had Specsavers put single vision lenses in the inserts. Unfortunately I now need varifocal/bifocal to see both the road and the Garmin. I was looking into Optilabs and the like, bought a set of these as a temporary measure and they work so well I've not bothered getting proper all in one glasses yet, though I will at some point.
