Never underestimate the importance of vanity when pricing a brand. People just don't want to be seen with cheap kit. If it's not expensive it can't be any good, can it?

the lenses are a lot bigger than standard cycling glasses, make you look like a scientist type .

Yes I aggree. They are PPE (safety glases) so need to be large for protection. I have some clear ones for night time, but hey! its dark, no one can see them anyway.

Aldi ones I bought 3 years ago for £2.99 with 3 different lenses are really good.

I also have 2 different styles of these and they are fine ,although the lenses were a pig to change on one set.
