I think a sport where cyclocross was, uh, 'crossed', with golf would be great.
Golf courses would be a horrible quagmire from November to February. You'd dismount at the tee, pull a club (choice of 1) from the 'club clip' on your seat tube, take a shot, ride or run to the ball, get the bastard in the hole as quick as you can, back on the bike and take a tortuous route to the next hole. There would be no waiting around, you'd play your ball while the balls of other competitors are falling all around. Pretty soon no-one would know what the fark was happening and they'd give up and start a woodstock-style mudslide competition.
