Perhaps I am showing my age, but for me it is kind of hard to go past the 1979 movie Breaking Away. A delightful cycling and coming of age movie.

And then of course there is the 1948 Italian classic Bicycle Thieves (or, The Bicycle Thief as it was called in its US release)

Both brilliant.

Yes they were. I too enjoyed them both. Boy, it has been a few years, hasn’t it.
