TBF, this thread didn't start as a complex debate. It's a thread where a fellow cyclist is asking for advice about being importuned on the street.

I was lightly taken to task for something I didn't say and now it's #notallmen all over the shop. I'm not saying don't have the debate but we're pretty far off-topic now when what this is about is giving useful tips to a young cyclist who feels vulnerable.

If someone wants help with harrassment, you don't really want it to turn into a discussion about men's feelings, just because the person asking for help is a woman. Yes, #notallmen, but also #thisisnotaboutthat.

good point although my comment isn't about men's feelings its about equality...which needs to be... equal.

As I have said...and as tc seems to also say its not about the past its about equality

as far as the OP goes, I'm not sure there is much more advice that hasn't already been given...i cant think of anything else.

This thread has degenerated into some shite....OP, what is the route you normally use and maybe some of the Manc people can suggest something different.
As for me, the people/drivers I more often than not have issues with are Post office, black cab and school kids....

As @potsy to ride with you, he is a right scary cat ;)
