Right everyone, I expect this has been done before but; It's February, the weather is grey and cold, Spring still feels a long way off and the news is as bad as the weather, so how about showing me what has brightened up your day either figuratively or literally.

My day was considerably brightened by enough Ouse having oozed away to allow me access to the river edge. The Ouse had left quite a bit of slippery ooze on the path - extra fun!

Getting out for a few miles and taking some pointless pictures has brightened up my day

My day today was brightened up by a visit to the Cheshire Smokehouse to stock up the freezer with their most excellent bread.

And further brightened by the mural outside by Peter ("Digger") Martin, Artist and former England and Lancashire cricketer
