I don't have a problem with that. We can make whatever assumptions of the situation as appropriate to our understanding of it, rightly or wrongly. And that is fine as we can't all agree, or understand, the exact requirements of any OP's post and make the correct response.

However, his issue with my post would appear to be that I added my own thoughts regarding my views on branding. Something which he seems to feel isn't allowed, nor appropriate, on an open and friendly forum. I don't believe I received the memo from @Shaun in that respect. However, if such a memo has been issued then I would humbly apologise to @s7ephanie and retract my comment, and all others of a similar nature on this forum.

For what it's worth, and assuming I'm allowed to express an opinion, the only 'branded' tops I have are the Foska ones (Marmite, and Colemans Mustard), and my Cyclechat one. I think the ones with lots of sponsorship on just look messy.

Yes, that is fair enough and quite fair and reasonable.
My quote wasn't a dismissal of his view at all, just as in many instances one person quotes another in reference and that was all it was.
He said the word and I added my view of that word in my response to the OP.
His objection appears to be about my adding that I cover up brands, in addition to a response to the OP, not my interpretation of sponsorship.
However, I am happy to let this rest if no offense was meant on either side.
