Cyclist told to dismount by police [warning, contains mild annoyance]

Not quite in the Andrew Mitchell league of encounters, in fact it's a very restrained display of mild annoyance in this video of a cyclist (riding in a pedestrian precinct where cycling is permitted) who is stopped by police - police without any sense of reason or perspective.

Happened to me in Leicester, right underneath a signpost giving directions that the (permitted) cycle lane went.
The PCSO was surprised when I pointed this out to him, his companion (a sworn officer) just shook his head, smiled at me and continued to walk.

The cyclist is clearly going VERY FAST and STRAIGHT TOWARDS the Occifer - Neither of which is true, which then makes everything he says a complete load of .....tosh

I especially liked the cyclist at 1:45 riding on the pedestrian only part of the road*, right behind both officers.

Something tells me they wouldn't have stopped this guy if he was on a mountain bike, in casual clothes with no helmet.

*Not 100% sure if it is pedestrian only, but it is never safe to ride that close to shop entrances.

The other 2 PCSO's didn't seem interested as they walked past. She had to back her colleague up by chipping in occasionally.
