On a serious note, the Police will be able to see the reg number KW13CWA, the driver is clearly pictured, why do they need the cyclist?
I agree with ASC that the cylist didnt help the situation, but that doesnt excuse the drivers actions.

Chasing him down and verbally abusing him achieves nothing.

I do not think the police can do anything unless the cyclist reports it.

6 and one half of the other me thinks. both could have acted differently.
he was wrong for being in the ASL , and as such could have been pointed at, whilst keeping away from his penis extension (car), everything that followed is just an escalation.
if a driver pushed me over - he certainly would have got a push back!!

I just watched the video again.

The matter could have been easily avoid.
The White audi was the only car sitting at the lights, and wasnt in the ASL.
Two cyclist pull along side the audi, then a further two pull directly infront of the audi for no reason at all. There was only one car at the lights, so why not just wait behind, as the car is always going to be quicker away from the lights.
My conclusion is that the cyclist was a nobber. And chasing people down when the red mist hits you never ends well.

I'm pretty sure that's wrong in law. Crimes are deemed to against the state, hence prosecution is Regina vs x, crime is against us all if you like. Police may well not bother of course, but it isn't, at least in theory, whether the victim "presses charges". Of course, if the victim is unwilling to be a witness, this may undermine any case or put in the "can't be arsed" file at the local nick

Do ASL's create the "must get in front" syndrome for cyclists?
Personally I would have just waited behind the Audi.

I often wait behind a single vehicle at the lights, only to be pushed out of the way by cyclists who just have to get to the front. Thereby putting themselves in more danger.

The other problem as demonstrated in the video is cyclist pushing past other cyclists for no reason. Why did the guy in the hat feel he was entitles to push past all the other cyclists and the car?

Cyclist should have left it alone after pointing out the Audi driver was a nobber in the first instance for swerving into the bike box. But the the driver already knows he his a nobber because he drives an Audi and as to continue to prove it.

Cyclist was asking for a reaction in the second instance, no excuse for getting out of your car and lamping someone though.

Cyclist = nobber
Audi driver = dangerous nobber

As only the Audi was there my most likely position would have been primary behind him.
At traffic lights and junctions like that I always take primary and move across to secondary position if safe, even if there is an ASL there.

Offence here was the Audi moving into the ASL while the lights were still red, just because he didn't want to wait 3 seconds...

I see the ASL's as both a good and bad thing, and most of the time I will try and fit in with the traffic flow rather than "pushing" to the front (although it really isn't pushing to the front now is it children).

While the cyclist didn't help himself, the bad attitude is all the Audi drivers here and I hope he gets reminded that London roads are not race tracks, are for all different types of transport, and impatience like that is not welcome on public roads.

Yep he was asking for a reaction, and when he got one he wasnt able to back it up, and just cycled off sheepishly in the other direction.
