It's not enough to have to face the threat of mortal danger by idiot drivers on a daily basis - now they jump out of their cars and belt us. In no way is violence ever an answer - but to hear a group of Cycle Chatters stick up for that violent act? Seriously, WTF?

I personally think you do protest too much.

I completely disagree with most of what you're saying there.

Each to their own.

You think the cops would be happy with

"Someone shouted at my mate after my mate nearly hurt them, so I got out of the car and punched them?"

You're deluded.

Eh. It is enough to face the threat of mortal danger? Now they don't jump out of their cars and hit us? Violence is the answer? Are you drunk?

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and answer your previous post in turn:

It's not enough to have to face the threat of mortal danger by idiot drivers on a daily basis

You might have this, I don't.

In no way is violence ever an answer

Actually, I can't agree with that too. It's an absolute statement. There are some cases where violence is unfortunately the answe, however repulsive.

but to hear a group of Cycle Chatters stick up for that violent act? Seriously, WTF?

I don't see CC'ers "sticking up" I believe you are using a rather emotive tone.

As soon as emotive comes into it, the argument is lost on most.

So, there you go, I don't agree with what you are saying.

That's exactly what killed Deep Lee.

Ok, yes, violence is sometimes the answer.

Yeahbut. Are you drunk?

What a horrible world you must live in - where people ('hard men'?) who behave in rude and dangerous ways are never challenged out of fear. Would you still be spouting this triumphalist macho rubbish if the cyclist had been fatally stabbed instead of punched for standing up to a bully?
He wasn't stabbed though, was he. Nothing macho about my world, but I know enough about human nature to avoid unnecessary confrontation, and by the look on the cyclist's face he'll think twice about chasing down nobbers in Audis because they've ignored the road traffic act. Perhaps we could all.learn from it, unpallatable though out seems.

I'm not condoning the assault by the way, but it does reaffirm my assertion that if you go around bawling and shouting and banging on car windows, one day you'll find you've bitten off more than you can chew.
I don't think it was. Try reading that post again very slowly (and you say that I'm unintelligent).
Your smiley's a bit tasteless there:

http://cycling-intelligence.com/tag/deep-lee/

Deep Lee was killed when a vehicle moved off at the lights, the asl was blocked by two vehicles, the driver of the Audi in the clip is executing exactly the behaviour that's killing cyclists.
You're getting desperate trying to compare the dynamics of a car to a truck..
I didn't say anything about dynamics, I explained that you were wrong, cars blocking asls result in deaths, contrary to your claim, and the driver in this clip did it deliberately. So, the driver is externalising risk for his own benefits. He's placing lives in danger for his own convenience. And you defend him.
