(there are people in our Club who went to Rugby some 55 years ago)
(and.....notice that cyclists are of the masculine persuasion)

to a lonely cyclist a puncture is flat misfortune. In a touring club group it's a different matter. The whole group stops. The puncturee may get a bit of a ragging but he also gets help, freely and cheerfully given

Seen those films before but I still enjoy them. Those empty streets, the clipped RP accents, slim fit people and that bloke at the beginning who dismounts by cocking his leg over the bars..... superb.

they show how far we've regressed. i love that film. having a bike from that era really brings the whole thing to life, even though it's way before my time.
