Cyclocross tyres on a road bike?

Would it be feasible to fit cyclocross tyres to a road bike (700x35 to 622x15 or 17) if the brake clearances are OK?

I expect so, but most road bikes wouldn't have clearance. If there was sufficient clearance for the tyre there probably wouldn't be much additional clearance for mud.

Unless you're using a bike with cantilever brakes the clearance probably wont be alright.

I would measure twice.
(Don't forget cx tyres will have both a larger diameter and width).

I've seen guys race with cross tyres and long-drop brakes. Dry course though.
