I have one grandfathers cap, he died thirty years ago but I can still smell the stuff he used to put on his hair. I have other bits from my other grandparents too. I also have the id band they put round my daughters leg when she was born, along with all the cards I received when I had her. I keep stupid things that Him Indoors has bought me too, it is nice just to look and smile.

My granddads reading specs and his old Ingersol pocket watch.

My original Action Man and a marble bag that my nan made me when I was 10 and the marbles.

My nan's old easy chair.

An original iPod.

An old 5p piece in a money box that my mum gave me one year for luck.

A magic trick box, my first magic prop.

A silver jubilee crown.

One would be lucky to get 2p for the whole lot on eBay.

I still have a habit and my Office. I've also got a flak jacket and blue helmet in the loft at my mother's.
You saying about your Office. When I was younger I attended a Catholic Church for a long time I even contemplated going through RCIA for a while, I used to go and spend time just sat in the church. A lovely lady came up to me one day and very patiently taught me to say my Rosary, I used to count it on my fingers, then one day she gave me a Rosary to use. It is still one of my most treasured possessions, and I use it often, there is something about the rhythm and repetitiveness that is very calming. Not for everyone I know, but it works for me.

The earrings I wore on my wedding day, don't usually wear earrings and only worn once.
The wee note attached to the first bunch of flowers Mr M sent me (on 19/12/88)
Collars that belonged to my cats (no longer with us) and a wee kitten fang that fell out
Also my wedding dress although I have no hope of ever fitting into that again as it's a bit small

A sweatshirt I got when on a surfing holiday with mates in the early 1980s.
Never been worn. The ex missus tried to throw it out but I still have it.

Quite a few bits and pieces from parents and grandparents but my most valued is my Grandad's diary from his time in HMS Southampton 1917 to 1919, an old autograph book over-stuffed with photos and momentoes and his account of the hard life in the North Atlantic.

I have a printed bit of paper, to look like a bank note worth 5 kisses, issued by The Bank of Daddy. Had it forever and don't remember getting it, I must have been very young.
I also have an old, pink Tricam, that held beautifully when climbing (falling) at the Roaches.
Pixie pencil top given to me by my grandparents and a Shamrock lapel pin that was my 2nd Grandad's. First one died when I was about 4 but I have a postcard from him. Falling to bits so I laminated it.

I am not one for a lot of stuff and this little lot fits into my old carved wooden jewellery box that I got for my 8th birthday.

I have my grandmas wedding ring (a very simple thin gold band) that I wear everyday and have done since my late teens.
I have a cookery book that my mam gave me. Its a blank one that you fill in yourself with sections for meat, poultry, cakes etc.- very 70s. She's filled in lots of pages, I have and I've just given it to my youngest daughter to write in her favourite recipes, so this book is a sentimental thing to hang on to in the making.
