) although thats not part of the ride. We are 15, and hired a pair of Merida race bikes (not ideal for 130 mile ride, but we managed). Huge hills up and down saw us get up to 60mph (going down obviously). And i just created this to say, that if youre thinking of doing a long ride, two 15 year olds have done 130 miles in a day, and with abit of training, I couldn't recommend it anymore, the feeling of self-worth is amazing after!, and you don't even have to be staggeringly fit, we did one 80 mile flat canal test ride, but coped fine on the 130 mile ride, so if youre umming and arring about it, get out and do it!
