Luke seemed convinced that someone is bringing it/them in deliberately.
He said something to the effect that it cannot just happen.
I am inclined to agree with him.

What's with plenty of newspapers crying about how Nuke will lose almost half of his £1M World Champs winnings?

He's simply paying the same % of tax as anyone else would, receiving obscene amounts of money, boo hoo!

Hold on, Chuffy the Dartslinger is getting a million quids? I should have misspent my youth rather more freely

It was a big increase to £1M this time around, not that I can tell you what it was in previous years without googling.

Apparently it doubled from 2025 .

But it was bound to happen, given it's another sport thats gone to pay to view for many tournaments.

Serious question ie not being picky etc.
Have you ever played serious darts as in at least being in a pub team ?
In my younger days I was a half decent pub player (never a very good one) and I was glued to the TV last night. Even when the forthcoming result was obvious I was mesmerised.
The old unanswerable question comes to my mind......... I wonder how he compares to eg Jocky Wilson or Bobby George etc.

I think his averages are better than Wilson or George or other players of the era.
But I don’t he isn’t doing anything more remarkable than NvG or Taylor have done in the more recent past . He is just in a rich vein of form where he just knows he turn it on and win .
He hasn’t yet had set back or a dip in form , how he reacts to that kind of thing will decide if he goes on to be an all time great like Taylor .

They are also quite a regular feature at the snooker masters too. Which suggests it is a venue problem.
It is a huge place so almost impossible to keep wasp free.

You have to sell a lot of darts and boards for that.
I was chatting to a nephew at Christmas he spent £150 on a set of Luke littler darts. He didn’t try them beforehand, didn’t get on with them so sold them on eBay for £100.

Brought back memories that.
I (and many others) used to buy our darts from a small sports shop in the market. There was a board set up so you could try various sets until you were happy.
Buying 'on line' didn't exist back then.
