Yeah I might do that. Just in case. Some say don’t need to.
The risk of battery drain will be determined by your car make and model. The dash cam (front and rear) in my Kia Niro EV had parking mode enabled and never affected the battery adversely.
(I disabled it because, when parked, it was registering every opening of a door or boot as a bump and locking a recording. Very quickly I was losing most of my capacity for recording journeys because of all the locked files. At first I just got into the habit of formatting the sd card once a week but when I worked out the cause I disabled parking mode instead.)
Have you checked the relevant forum(s) for your car to see if it is actually a problem?
